A Toccoa woman has been arrested in Stephens County following a traffic stop by the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) deputies on Monday night.
The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office social media page Tuesday afternoon reported that their deputies conducted a traffic stop on Monday, May 18, 2026 along Big A Road at about 9:00 p.m. on a bicyclist traveling with no functioning lights. During the stop, the cyclist was identified as 50-year-old Loretta Allen of Toccoa.
The SCSO post said the deputy then conducted a search of Allen’s person and belongings with consent, and during the search, the deputy located a large clear plastic baggie containing suspected methamphetamine. The suspected methamphetamine was later found to weigh approximately 14 grams.
Allen was then arrested and transported to the Stephens County Detention Center without incident. She was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and remains in jail awaiting a bond hearing with a Stephens County magistrate court judge, as of this publication.
