Gainesville Police have been busy the last few days issuing traffic alerts and then having to deal with the events that spawned the warnings.
First, there was Gainesville High School graduation Friday night at City Park. Then Monday came the city’s annual Memorial Day Parade along Green Street. Now, as another work week begins, it’s the collegiate rowing championships at Lake Lanier Olympic Park on Clarks Bridge Road.
Police Tuesday morning issued a Traffic Alert for increased traffic along the section of road nearest the park beginning Wednesday. The actual competition runs Thursday-Saturday. EARLIER STORY. POSTED APRIL 12: College rowing championships returning
