
*Hall County Government’s AAA credit rating has been reaffirmed by Fitch Ratings, citing the county’s “financial resilience, ‘strongest’ long-term liability and population metrics, and very low unemployment.” The rating is the highest possible rating and signifies Fitch’s expectation for the County “to effectively manage any short-term spending pressures while maintaining its intergovernmental contract obligations.”

*Northeast Georgia Weather History: In 2010, flash flooding occurred in the Arcade area in Jackson County. A small creek overflowed across Hunter Road in Arcade. Culvert pipes were washed out along portions of McCreery and Hunter roads. Rainfall of 4-5 inches was common in southwest Jackson County over a 24-hour period. The flash flooding caused $10,000 in damage, according to the National Weather Service.
