A 35-year-old Oakwood man has been arrested after allegedly smoking methamphetamine prior to a physical altercation with his wife.
According to the Oakwood Police Department (OPD), they were called to a residence on Creekside Place on Saturday after 11 p.m. for a domestic dispute in progress.
The victim stated she arrived home at around 11:10 p.m. and had been arguing with her husband, Justin Shultz. She also said he had been smoking meth in their closet before she arrived.
Shultz then allegedly went to the bathroom to flush the meth, and he attempted to close the door. The victim placed her foot in the doorway to stop him from doing so to see him flush the alleged meth.
On the victim’s 13-year-old daughter’s phone, it was shown that Shultz reportedly shoved his wife, attempted to bite her, then picked her up and threw her onto the floor.
Shultz then shut the bathroom door and the wife called 911. Shultz fled the residence shortly after and OPD officer made contact with him upon their arrival.
Officers noticed redness on the victim’s arms, face, bite marks on her right arm, and carpet burns on her left arm.
Shultz is being held on a $3,900 bond at last report.
