A driver in Gainesville is lucky to survive an early morning wreck when a tree reportedly fell on their vehicle along Browns Bridge Road.
The Georgia State Patrol (GSP) tells AccessNorthGA that at around 2:30 this morning a trooper from the Gainesville Post responded to State Route 369 (Browns Bridge Road), in the area of Old 141 Road to investigate a traffic crash. Upon arrival, the trooper determined a 2001 Ford Expedition, driven by Jesus Razo, 50, of Gainesville was traveling east on Browns Bridge Road. A tree fell onto the top of the vehicle, rendering the vehicle disabled.
No injuries were reported, and the incident resulted in a complete closure of Browns Bridge Road. Due to the efforts of Hall County Fire Rescue, one lane was able to be opened at approximately 3:45 AM with all travel lanes fully opened after 7:00 a.m. Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) directed traffic until GA Dept of Transportation (GDOT) arrived on scene to clear the road.
