Tuesday night’s (April 28, 2026) meeting of the Stephens County Board of Commissioners started with a presentation from Doug Hitchon, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for ASI Southeast, on their expansion.
Hitchon explains why ASI Southeast decided to stay and continue to invest in Toccoa-Stephens County.
With this expansion, ASI has invested over $100 million in Stephens County since 2015. They have also seen their employee base grow to over 400 employees.
