A Gainesville man is dead following a single-vehicle collision on Clarks Bridge Road in Northern Hall County Monday.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said an initial investigation by its Accident Investigation Unit revealed Richard Allian Lamon, 64, was traveling northbound on Clarks Bridge Road near Maynard Circle in a 1997 Lincoln Town Car.
As Lamon attempted to negotiate a curve in the road, his vehicle left the paved roadway, struck a tree and sideswiped a utility pole.
Lamon was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville with critical
injuries. Lamon succumbed to his injuries at the hospital just after 2:45 p.m., according to HCSO.
