White County officials host annual Employee Luncheon and Awards

White County celebrated its annual Employee Luncheon on Thursday, December 4, 2025 by marking the first year the event was held at the newly opened Recreation Center at Yonah Preserve. The luncheon welcomed county employees from all departments, offering an opportunity to reflect on a year of service and recognize employees’ dedication to the community.
Officials said in their press release that the event was catered by Cowboys & Angels of Helen and featured remarks from White County Commission Chairman Travis Turner and other officials, as well as the presentation of Service Awards.  The awards honor more than 415 years of combined service among this year’s recipients.  Employees also enjoyed a door-prize drawing that was made possible through donations contributed from local business sponsors.
