Event Name: 58th Annual Mountain Moonshine Festival & Car Show, Dawsonville

Event Details: It’s been 58 years of fun, food, vendors and what Dawsonville is best known for – cars! Friday kicks off the event with a car show and on Saturday, a parade of race cars begins at 9 a.m. with Opening Ceremonies at 10 a.m. There’s live music and performances all weekend long. Event Name: Hardman Farm Mountain Farm Celebration, Sautee

Event Location: Historic Hardman Farm, Sautee Nacoochee
Event Details: Enjoy the feel of an old-fashioned country fair set in the beautiful Nacoochee Valley. Watch history come to life with Appalachian skills demonstrating quilting, weaving, black powder and moonshine. Sample apple cider from a hand-cranked press, enjoy a cooking demonstration or tour the historic mansion. Take a hayride, go gem mining or play old-fashioned games like cornhole and horseshoes. There’s also farm animals to pet. Food vendors and live music will be on site all day, as well. Cost is $8 per person. Children ages 5 and under are free.
