Oh yes, last year’s Tech game.
That night was a lot of things….frustrating, exhilarating, mind-numbing, exhausting, indigestion inducing…
But more than anything else, it was satisfying. Why? Because not only did you beat your biggest rival (a point I will argue to the death), but you walked away knowing that the trade school knew they should have won…and you had something to do with stealing one.
That’s a memory that is well and good…but its impact on this year’s game? Zero, as DawgNation details.
All in all, this is still a rivalry. Yes, there was some laughter to be had with the Jackets’ loss to Pitt and ruining of ACC and CFP hopes, but that’s no reason to celebrate.
Tech has absolutely zero to lose, and I’d expect a baker’s dozen of offensive kitchen sinks from Buster Faulkner and company on Friday.
Thankfully, no TV wizards have decided to play this game on literally Thanksgiving. It’s make a fun turkey-day memory if something like this happened…,
Go Dawgs!
