Defending Class 3A state champion Jefferson is among five northeast Georgia area teams still alive in the 2025 Georgia High School Association volleyball playoffs.
The Lady Dragons, along with Cherokee Bluff and North Hall, advanced to the quarterfinals in Class 3A, which open on Tuesday around the state. Buford and North Forsyth also made the Elite 8 in Class 6A.
Jefferson, the No. 3 seed in 3A this season, won the title last year playing as the No. 7 seed. The Lady Dragons have stormed through the first two rounds without dropping a set and play host to No. 6 seed Whitewater today.
North Hall is the No. 5 seed in 3A and will play host to rival Cherokee Bluff, the 13th-seed today. The quarterfinals winners in Class 3A will move on to the semifinals to be held at Providence Christian on Saturday.
In Class 6A, both Buford, the Region 8-6A champ, and North Forsyth, the No. 2 seed out of Region 6-6A, will be on the road on Tuesday.
Buford heads to Region 5-6A champion Walton while the Lady Raiders have a long road trip to Region 1-6A champion Richmond Hill.
North Forsyth (29-6) faces perhaps the biggest challenge of the night against Richmond Hill (40-2) which has won 17 straight matches and dropped just three total games in that span.
The winners in Class 6A will advance to the semifinals to be held at Seckinger on Saturday.
