The University of North Georgia set an enrollment record for the school during the fall 2025 semester.

According to UNG officials, this semester saw 20,317 students. It is the first time UNG has had more than 20,000 students.

The university highlighted that the numbers are a 5.3% jump from the 2024 fall semester, marking the second year in a row that UNG’s student body has grown by at least 5%.

Additionally, dual enrollment is up by 11%, cadet enrollment jumped to 8.3% and graduate students grew by 2.7%.

“Our record enrollment shows that students want more than just a degree — they want direction, purpose and a university that invests in them. UNG is that place,” UNG President Michael Shannon said. “Every experience here is designed to help students discover who they are, what they can do and how they can make a difference.”
