The BLITZ Boys Basketball Players of the Week are Maki Mitchell and Essien Lockleer of Commerce and Vince Marevka (Union). Mitchell won the Fan Vote with 2,110 of the 3,770 total votes. Lockleer and Marevka were the BLITZ Picks.
MAKI MITCHELL – COMMERCE



Maki Mitchell nabs his second career POW award. The star junior guard for Commerce averaged 15.6 points and 5.0 boards per game last week for the #3-ranked Tigers.







ESSIEN LOCKLEER – COMMERCE


Essien Lockleer dazzled last week in a 37-point game against Franklin County in what was a top-10 showdown between Commerce and the Lions. The junior guard averaged 23.6 points while adding 5.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.0 steals in an impressive week. This is his first POW award.





VINCE MAREVKA – UNION COUNTY

Union County veteran forward Vince Marevka dropped in 16.0 points and 17.0 rebounds (not a typo) last week for the Panthers. The senior collects his first POW award.
