During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in 2023, the actor opened up about his “obsession” with home and how he’s always been a bit of a homebody.
“[Home] has just been kind of a theme in my life that I’ve always loved exploring in everything that I make, and it’s been really important to me,” he told PEOPLE at the time. While he moved to the U.S. to pursue his music career, Sivan’s first album, Blue Neighborhood, was an homage to his hometown of Perth, Australia.

The star still has roots in his home country, having previously given a tour of his Melbourne abode for Architectural Digest‘s May 2021 issue. Sivan explained how his purchase of the Victorian-era former brick factory stemmed from him feeling “homesick” after living in the U.S. for over five years.
Of being back in Australia, he told the outlet at the time: “I am so unbelievably happy here and I feel so at home that I wanted to put down roots. And I found this house and I was just like, ‘Done.'”
Sivan’s “eccentric” home boasts original cork ceilings, an outdoor courtyard and a “fantasy” bathroom that was once a wine cellar.
