TOCCOA, Ga. — A four-month-old child has been rescued, and a Toccoa man is behind bars following an Internet Crimes Against Children investigation, according to the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators charged 59-year-old Jimmie Dominici Jr. with three counts of sexual exploitation of children and one count of bestiality after allegedly finding child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in his possession.

Investigation launched after FBI tip

The investigation began November 3 when the FBI Atlanta-Gainesville office contacted Stephens County authorities about information stemming from an earlier arrest in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In that case, according to the sheriff’s office, Dominici was identified as a suspect connected to the possession and exchange of illegal material.

Disturbing evidence uncovered

During the early phase of the investigation, the FBI Pittsburgh Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force allegedly uncovered electronic messages between Dominici and the Pennsylvania suspect. The communications, sent between February and August, reportedly included CSAM and other explicit videos involving bestiality.

“Videos contained inappropriate material of children ranging in age from four months old to eight years old, as well as various incidents involving dogs,” the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

On November 5, investigators presented their findings to a Stephens County judge and obtained four arrest warrants.

Arrest and rescue

On Wednesday afternoon, Stephens County deputies executed the warrants at Dominici’s home on Cawthon Road, arresting him without incident and seizing several electronic devices for forensic analysis. Dominici remains in custody at the Stephens County Jail pending a bond hearing.

Information obtained by the FBI Pittsburgh Task Force led to the identification and rescue of the four-month-old child depicted in the material. Another suspect tied to that case was arrested in Ohio on sexual assault charges, officials said.

The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office thanked the FBI Pittsburgh Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force and the FBI Atlanta-Gainesville Resident Agency for providing information and assisting with Dominici’s apprehension.
