This 1% sales tax referendum is coming up for a vote. It could generate $400M for local schools

The Hall County school board on Monday, Jan. 12, unanimously approved a resolution to call a referendum to continue collecting a one-penny sales tax known as ESPLOST, which funds most of the district’s construction projects.
