The next wave of guests has officially checked into The White Lotus season 4 for a stay in France.
Alexander Ludwig and AJ Michalka were the first stars confirmed for season 4 in December 2025, per Variety. Steve Coogan and Caleb Jonte Edwards joined the cast the following month, along with Helena Bonham Carter and Chris Messina.
The upcoming season of the hit HBO series, created by Mike White, will take place at a luxury resort in France, though plot details are still being kept tightly under wraps. As with previous installments, season 4 will follow a fresh group of wealthy vacationers whose stay at a White Lotus property is anything but relaxing.
The anthology series has previously filmed at real Four Seasons resorts, beginning in Hawaii for season 1, moving to Italy for season 2 and Thailand for season 3.

Helena Bonham Carter

Carter was cast in The White Lotus season 4 in January 2026.
The actress has earned two Academy Award nominations for her performances in The King’s Speech and The Wings of the Dove. She’s also a nine-time Golden Globe nominee, including recognition for Sweeney Todd and for her work across two seasons of The Crown.
Her film résumé also includes standout roles in Fight Club and the Harry Potter film franchise.
Steve Coogan

British actor Coogan will also appear in the fourth installment of the HBO series.
Coogan is best known for his long-running portrayal of the fictional broadcaster Alan Partridge, most recently reprising the role in 2025’s How Are You? It’s Alan. On the big screen, his credits include the Night at the Museum films, the Despicable Me movies, Philomena and Tropic Thunder.
In addition to starring in Philomena, Coogan co-wrote the film, receiving Oscar nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Picture.
Caleb Jonte Edwards

Edwards, an up-and-coming Australian actor, is set to appear in season 4 of The White Lotus.
A relative newcomer, Edwards has previously appeared in the crime drama Black Snow and the short film The Man and the Woman.

The White Lotus season 4 will mark model Marissa Long’s TV debut.
“I’m unbelievably honored to be joining this with such incredible people. Thank you Mike White!!!!!!!!!! I’m speechless and cannot wait for this journey, feeling deeply blessed.. LETS GO!!!!” she wrote on Instagram following her casting announcement.
To date, Long’s only acting credits include short films, including Valley Mentality! and The Old Breed. She’s also in a relationship with The Summer I Turned Pretty‘s Tanner Zagarino, who plays Redbird.
Alexander Ludwig

Ludwig was confirmed for season 4 of The White Lotus in December 2025.
“Beyond honored. Huge thank you to Mike [White] for your trust in me and can’t wait to bring this unbelievable material to life,” he wrote on Instagram.
The actor is best known for playing Björn Ironside on Vikings, as well as Dorn in two of the Bad Boys films and Cato in The Hunger Games.
Chris Messina

Coming off a two-season run on Peacock’s Based on a True Story, Messina has joined the season 4 ensemble of The White Lotus.
Messina is best known for his work on high-profile TV series, including The Sinner, Sharp Objects and The Mindy Project.
His film credits also include roles in Ben Affleck’s Air and the Oscar-winning Argo.
AJ Michalka

Michalka, a former Disney star, is hitting the small screen once again with a role in season 4 of The White Lotus.
Following her casting announcement in December 2025, Michalka posted on Instagram, writing, “Checking in! Let’s party Mike [White].”
Michalka is best known as one-half of the pop duo Aly & AJ, which she formed with her sister, Aly Michalka. The pair also starred together in the 2006 Disney Channel movie Cow Belles.
Her film credits include The Lovely Bones and Super 8, while on television, she had a recurring role on The Goldbergs and later led its spinoff, Schooled.
