Sydney Sweeney is evoking the golden age of Hollywood.

On Monday, Dec. 15, the actress, 28, attended the premiere of The Housemaid at TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles. She wore a custom white halter-neck dress by the bridal designer Galia Lahav.

The gown had a waist-cinching bodice and a sweeping skirt with a feathered hem — similar to the dress Marilyn Monroe famously wore in the 1955 film The Seven Year Itch.

The Euphoria star, who stars in The Housemaid alongside Amanda Seyfried, wore her hair in loose waves and completed her look with a shimmery eye and bold red lipstick — also in ode to Monroe’s unforgettable look in the classic film.

The Housemaid is based on the 2022 psychological thriller novel by Freida McFadden. In the film, Millie (played by Sweeney) is tormented at her dream job by the increasingly volatile Nina (Seyfried).

Sweeney was joined on the red carpet by her costar Seyfried, 40, who wore a shimmering red dress from Monse’s Pre-Fall 2026 collection. The actress paired the look with gold heeled sandals.

For the premiere afterparty, Sweeney changed into another white dress — a strapless mini with floral appliques, paired with white pumps.

Sweeney’s latest red carpet appearance comes after she recently shut down rumors of her having had plastic surgery.

The Housemaid star said in a video interview with Allure, “Let’s debunk [the rumors]. I mean, I have never gotten work done. I am so scared of needles, you have no idea.”

The former child actress also addressed critics online who post side-by-side comparison photos of her next to her younger self.

“You cannot compare a photo of me from when I was 12 to a photo of me at 26 with professional makeup and lighting! Of course I’m going to look different,” said Sweeney, adding, “Everybody on social media’s insane.”

The Housemaid hits theaters on Friday, Dec. 19.
