A school bus crash in DeKalb County injured several students and the bus driver, according to the school district.
DeKalb school officials said four of the 29 students on board and the driver were injured in the crash on Clairmont Road near Century Boulevard. The five people were taken to the hospital for evaluation.
The bus was taking the students to Montclair Elementary School when it crashed, the district said. The 25 students who were not injured were put on another bus and taken to school.
A FOX 5 crew on the scene saw another car up the embankment with the bus, and it appeared to be damage, but it’s unclear if the car was in the parking lot or on the road when the bus made contact with it.
Due to the crash, traffic on the southbound lanes is being diverted across the turn lane and into the far-left northbound lane. Northbound traffic has also been reduced to one lane.
The cause of the crash has not been released. FOX 5 has reached out to police for more information.
