The BLITZ Wrestlers of the Week are Faith Jones (Lumpkin), Dallas Russell (Jefferson), and Paxon Legatt (Union).
FAITH JONES – LUMPKIN COUNTY
Faith Jones was as dominant as ever in the traditional state championship meet. The sophomore won the 235-lb bracket by going 4-0, winning individual gold. This is her second career award.
DALLAS RUSSELL – JEFFERSON
Being a champion is rare. Being a 4-time champion is seldom ever seen. Dallas Russell capped off his stellar wrestling career with a fourth straight title. The Jefferson senior won the 165-lb bracket with the tech or pin in every match. This is his second career award.
PAXON LEGATT – UNION COUNTY
Union County junior Paxon Legatt topped off a 51-0 season with a state title individually. He won the 157-lb bracket with relative ease, and is a back-to-back champ!
