Shrinking is coming back. And the cast is only growing.

On Tuesday, Oct. 21, Apple TV unveiled an early glimpse at the third installment of the comedy series with some first-look photos of Harrison Ford, Jason Segel and Jessica Williams — along with a premiere date.

Season 3 of Shrinking arrives globally on Jan. 28, 2026 with an hour-long premiere episode. Additional episodes drop on a weekly basis until the finale on April 8, per the streamer.

The 11-episode season sees the return of stars Christa Miller, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell and Ted McGinley. Damon Wayans Jr., co-creator Brett Goldstein, Wendie Malick and Cobie Smulders also return as guest stars in season 3.

Newcomers this season include two acting legends: Jeff Daniels and Michael J. Fox.

The comedy, created by Goldstein and Segel alongside Bill Lawrence, follows Segel’s “grieving therapist” character Jimmy Laird as he makes “huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives” while breaking the rules, telling clients exactly what he thinks and ultimately ignoring his ethics, per a streamer synopsis.

New photos from the set of season 3 show Segel’s Laird and Ford’s Dr. Paul Rhoades back together, Williams’ Dr. Gaby Evans dancing with Wayans’ Derrick, and a few other series regulars getting back into the swing of things.

Fox, 64, revealed to PEOPLE this month how his guest arc on the series came to be. As he explained, he called up former Spin City colleague and Shrinking creator Lawrence once he saw that Ford’s character has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s, the neurodegenerative disease Fox was diagnosed with in 1991.

“I said, ‘You did a show about Parkinson’s, and you didn’t call me?’ And he said, ‘Oh, you want to do it?’ And I said, ‘I’d love to do it,’” Fox said. “So he said, ‘Let me think about it, see what I can do.’ So he went to work on it and came up with this concept, it’s really good.”

Fox didn’t give too much away about his stint on the show, but did reveal that he plays someone who has Parkinson’s. “It was the first time ever I get to show up on-set, and I didn’t have to worry about am I too tired or coughing or anything,” he said.

“I just do it. It was really good, because for the moments when I say, ‘I’m not going to be able to do this,’ then I say, ‘Well, I’ll just deal with how I can’t do it in the scene.’ And you get through it,” he added.

Shrinking earned a total of seven nominations at the 2025 Emmy Awards, including Ford’s first-ever Emmy nomination for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series. Ford previously told PEOPLE that he takes portraying his character Paul “deadly f—— seriously.”

“There’s no intention to make it into a joke,” Ford said. “But there are people that absorb these kinds of experiences with grace and courage and a little bit of wisdom. And that is not to say that some people do not.”

“It’s just to say that this is a person particularly equipped to communicate what it is that it’s like, and that is something that I feel that is worth sharing with our audience,” he added of his character.

Shrinking season 3 arrives on Jan. 28. Seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Apple TV.
