The BLITZ Boys Basketball Players of the Week are Carter Nguyen (White) and Huey Blalock (Rabun). Nguyen won the Fan Vote with 17,732 of the 24,525 total votes. Blalock was the BLITZ Pick.
CARTER NGUYEN – WHITE COUNTY
Carter Nguyen is also a solid baseball player, but still finishing out his final basketball season. The senior guard averaged 8.0 points and 4.5 rebounds for the Warriors last week, adding 3.5 assists per game for the Warriors. This is his first POW award.
HUEY BLALOCK – RABUN COUNTY
Huey Blalock takes his third POW award of the season and seventh in his career. The Rabun County star point guard was good for 25.0 points, 6.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game for the Wildcats last week.
