One of the funniest stories from Week 9 was Rico Dowdle getting flagged for a two-pump Hingle McCringleberry and the fallout from it. Dowdle was fined, Keegan Michael Key chimed in that it was unfair, and it made everyone question what we know about how many pumps are allowed in the NFL.
Week 10 picked up where it left off, with Dowdle and Aaron Jones scoring within minutes os each other — and both setting up for the Hingle McCringleberry, before refusing to pump.
Meanwhile in the Vikings vs. Ravens’ battle of the purple we also Aaron Jones score a touchdown in the first quarter and he also lined up for the pump celebration.
The NFL asked for this. You can’t just flag two pumps and not expect some sort of blowback from players. It’s a sad time when players don’t even want to risk one pump for fear of hearing from the league office.
