A residential fire east of Flowery Branch Monday night that rekindled Tuesday morning led to a total loss of the home.

Hall County Fire Rescue (HCFR) initially responded to the residence in the 4600 block of Guth Road at around 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

Crews discovered heavy fire in the attic area. A hydrant was not available, so water had to be shuttled in.

Then, at around 8 a.m. on Tuesday, crews had to respond to the same address. What was left of the property was fully involved in flames when crews arrived.

The flames were extinguished, and wind speed were between 5 and 11-mph with gusts up to 20-mph.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time and is under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office.
