Week 9 of the 2025 NFL season rolls on and the action will continue with the New Orleans Saints heading west to battle the Los Angeles Rams at 4:05 p.m. ET on FOX.

The Saints fell to an NFC-worst 1-7 record with a loss to the Buccaneers last week and that 23-3 setback triggered a quarterback change with rookie Tyler Shough now taking over under center. We’ll see if that affects the production of wide receiver Rashid Shaheed, who was one of the team’s only sources of offense last Sunday.

Below, we’ll go over Shaheed’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 9.

Fantasy Football analysis: Saints WR Rashid Shaheed

Shaheed led the team in receiving last week, catching nine of 12 targets for 75 yards in the 20-point loss to the Bucs. It was the first time this season that he had double-digit targets and he’s been a solid Flex option for fantasy managers throughout the season, floating around as a top-30 wideout in all scoring formats. He was a limited participant in practice throughout the week due to a hip injury, so we’ll see if that has an impact on his production this afterrnon.

Sit. Shough is an unknown commodity at quarterback as we saw just a little bit of him in the second half of last week’s game. Because of that, I don’t trust any of the Saints’ skill-position players today and that includes Shaheed. I’d sit him down this week and see how he gels with the new rookie starter.
