A school bus in Rabun County was involved in a collision Tuesday morning.
According to the Georgia State Patrol (GSP), the two-vehicle wreck happened at the intersection of Ga. 15 and Chechero Street at around 7 a.m.
The school bus was reportedly traveling north on Ga. 15 in the left turn lane, getting ready to turn while a GMC truck was traveling in the southbound lanes of the highway.
The bus driver reportedly failed to yield, resulting in the crash.
Both drivers and one student on the bus sustained injuries.
The driver of the GMC was transported to a local hospital by Rabun EMS, while the student was taken to the same hospital by a parent.
Commercial Vehicle Enforcement was notified but did not respond to the scene.
In a Facebook post at around 7:30 a.m., Rabun County Schools said “We are very thankful to share that all students and the driver are safe. Parents of the students on board have already been contacted.”
At the time, according to a post from the Clayton Police Department, there were only three students and the driver on the school bus.
