Noah Wyle is celebrating his son on his special day.
On Sunday, Nov. 9, the 54-year-old star of The Pitt took to Instagram to share a tribute to his son, Owen, on his 23rd birthday.
He did so with a cute throwback photo of the pair while on vacation. In it, Wyle is sitting with his arm around Owen as they smile brightly.
“Happy Birthday to the best man I know. Thank you, Owen, for bring[sic] so much joy, meaning, and purpose to my life. I love you infinitely Xo,” Wyle captioned the post.
Wyle’s wife Sara sweetly commented on the post, “Happy Birthday @owenwyle we love you so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
The Emmy-winning actor is a dad to three, sharing Owen and 20-year-old daughter Auden with ex-wife, Tracy Warbin. He and his current wife Sara share their daughter Frances, who was born in 2015.
Wyle has shared some insight about his family life over the years in the spotlight. In particular, he revealed that Owen was proud of him after he got arrested at a Medicaid protest in 2012.
“I did talk to my son after I got released early the next morning,” the ER alum told PEOPLE later that year. “I called him before school, and I explained what happened and that I was okay.”

He continued, saying that he “kind of explained it in as simple terms as possible, and I thought I was going on a little bit too long and I may have lost him, but as soon as I stopped talking, he just jumped in and said, ‘I think you did the right thing, Dad.’ ”
“It brought tears to my eyes then, and it does now thinking about it,” he admitted at the time.
More recently, Wyle revealed that his children are the ones who let him know that he was considered a heartthrob to a younger generation after the success of his new medical drama. He added that they didn’t seem to be embarrassed by his status.
“I think they’re more amused because they know how much it embarrasses me, and how out of touch I feel to it all. So, I think that’s mostly what they get out of it,” he admitted to PEOPLE.

Wyle told PEOPLE that Owen might pursue a career in Hollywood, saying that he’s “taking all sorts of film classes with an eye towards ending up in this industry somewhere.”
“I tell him every day it’s a big tent. We’ve got truck drivers, lawyers, carpenters,” Wyle continued. “But he really likes the circus and so it’s gonna be hard to keep him out from under the big tent.”
Wyle shared a similar tribute to Owen for his birthday last year, writing, “22 years ago you showed up bringing purpose and meaning to my life- revealing how beautiful the world can be. For those gifts and a million more I’m grateful to be your Dad. Happy Birthday, Owen. I love you. Xo.”
