Georgia apparently continues to benefit from the pause in the state gasoline tax, but the national average keeps climbing.

The price in Gainesville is actually three-cents-a-gallon lower than last week – $3.70. The state average is unchanged at $3.71. But the national average is up eight cents from last Monday to $4.16.

Crude oil prices remain high, even as they’ve fluctuated in recent days following the announcement of a two-week ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran, AAA says. The price for a barrel of crude dropped below $100 but then rose again, highlighting the volatility of oil markets and fluidity of geopolitical events.
