MT. AIRY, Ga. — The Mt. Airy City Council is set to review proposals for new playground equipment and consider a potential cost-sharing agreement with Habersham County during its meeting Monday night.

The council will meet at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

Among the key items on the agenda is discussion and possible action on bids received for playground equipment, which could lead to upgrades at city recreational facilities.

Council members will also consider partnering with Habersham County on paving projects, a move aimed at reducing costs through shared resources and coordinated work.

Another item up for discussion is an agreement with the Georgia Municipal Association for telecommunications and right-of-way management services.

The council is expected to enter executive session to discuss cybersecurity and personnel matters before returning to open session and adjourning.

The meeting follows a series of recent actions by the council, including adoption of the city’s 2026 budget and ongoing discussions tied to downtown improvements and infrastructure planning.
