The march upward in gas prices that began with the latest Mideast war two weeks ago show not indication that they are slowing down.
AAA says the average price of a gallon of regular in Gainesville now is $3.54; a week ago, it was $3.27, a 27 cents increase. The state average is slightly more, 29 cents a gallon, to $3.51. And the national average climbed to $3.69, up from $3.34 last Monday.
Meanwhile, AAA says demand continues to rise as some spring breakers hit the roads.
