Some things you just can’t make up.
It appeared for several hours recently that, ahem, Mickey Mouse had been arrested in White County, but it turned out to be a misunderstanding or mistake. Whatever. And the sheriff’s office says it was the latter – the result of training error and took to social media to explain:
“We’ve been made aware that an arrest report released included the booking of:
MOUSE, MICKEY CLUBHOUSE
Age: 94
Address: Orlando, FL
Charges: Possession of Marijuana & Failure to Maintain Lane
This was NOT a real arrest.
The entry was created as part of a training exercise while instructing a new employee on how to properly enter booking information into our jail system. A fictional name was used for demonstration purposes. Unfortunately, the training entry was not removed before the report was released.
No actual person was arrested.
No residents of Orlando were transported to White County.
And we can confirm there is no active warrant for any animated characters. 
That said, cartoon or not, our stance is very real: illegal drugs will not be tolerated in White County. We enforce the law equally, no matter who you are. 
The error has been corrected, and we’ve taken steps to ensure training entries remain internal moving forward.
