A LaGrange police officer is recovering at a Columbus hospital from a gunshot wound sustained overnight November 16, 2025. The incident started when officers responded to a call about a person beating on the door of a home on Glenn Robertson Street.
That’s when police say the homeowner opened fire through the door striking the officer in the leg. The police officer’s injury is non-life threatening.
Laurance Williams is now charged with giving false statements, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
