A 69-year-old Kansas man’s body was found Thursday morning at Old Federal Campground in Flowery Branch.
That’s according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), who says the death is not considered suspicious.
Deputies responded to the campground at around 8 a.m. after a park visitor found Patrick James O’Toole unresponsive near the dumpsters. His vehicle was still running at the scene according to the department.
Medical units responded to the scene, and O’Toole was pronounced dead.
Investigators also responded to the park and determined the man has been camping at the park. They contacted his relatives who live in Hall County and they explained that he had been traveling in his camper and was in the area to visit family.
While foul play is not suspected, the body has been sent for autopsy to determine a cause of death.
