Joey Fatone, AJ McLean, Shaggy and More to Headline Universal Orlando Mardi Gras Concert Series (Exclusive)

It’s almost time to let the good times roll at Universal Orlando Resort!

This year, Mardi Gras is back in a big way. From Feb. 7 to April 4, guests are invited to experience Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval. The event, which pays homage to the larger-than-life celebration in New Orleans, will feature 11 live performances from some of the biggest names in music today. 

This year’s concert series lineup, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal, includes a performance by *NSYNC members Joey Fatone and AJ McLean on Feb. 21, as well as DJ sets by Kaskade, RuPaul and Grammy-winner Zedd.

Iconic bands like Portugal. The Man, the Barenaked Ladies and The All-American Rejects will also grace the stage — not to mention show-stopping solo performances from Ivy Queen, Shaggy and former Florida Georgia Line member Tyler Hubbard.   

But the celebration doesn’t end there as the spirit of the Big Easy will be recreated on the streets of Universal Studios Florida for the Mardi Gras parade.

A collection of 12 hand-crafted floats, inspired by the food and music found throughout New Orleans, will entertain guests as they pass through the park. And the parade wouldn’t be complete without high-energy street performers, live music and colorful beads flying through the air.

Those looking to enjoy the days of feasting are invited to indulge in more than 40 dishes originating from 12 different countries. This year’s featured dishes include a baked Cajun mac and cheese from the U.S.; a ham, brie and berry crepe from France; Vienna-style pork schnitzel from Austria and even Mala beef skewers from China. 

These treats, including the fan-favorite New Orleans-inspired beignets, will be available at kiosks throughout the parks and at select resort restaurants.

There’s more to enjoy with special offerings at onsite hotel restaurants as well. The Hard Rock Hotel will offer bourbon street beignets, Universal Aventura Hotel will serve Korean Cajun jambalaya and Universal Endless Summer Resort will have its own Voodoo street fries.

Over on CityWalk, there will be patio guitarists, DJs, stilt walkers on select nights and exclusive drink offerings during the Mardi Gras After Party in Pat O’Briens.

Guests can also bring a piece of the celebration home from the new Mardi Gras Tribute Store. Located within Universal Studios Florida’s Hollywood section of the park, this gift shop will feature brand-new theming and merchandise that can’t be missed.
