The BLITZ Tennis Players of the Week are Jewels Hutcheson (Rabun) and Sam Ledford (Banks). Hutcheson won the Fan Vote with 4,150 of the 6,389 total votes. Ledford was the BLITZ Pick.
JEWELS HUTCHESON – RABUN COUNTY
Well, that didn’t take long. Jewels Hutcheson starts out her career making an immediate splash. The freshman at 2-singles went 2-0 in her first two matches. The Rabun County rising star earns her first POW award.
SAM LEDFORD – BANKS COUNTY
The reigning BLITZ Player of the Year is off to a blistering start. Banks County 1-singles star Sam Ledford opened the season 2-0, not dropping a single set or game in the process. This is his fourth career POW award.
