The Gainesville-based Humane Society of Northeast Georgia reports raising almost $275,000 at its 17th annual Art with a Heart Gala Saturday night.
“It was an evening filled with inspiration, community, and a shared passion for helping animals and people live better together,” says a Facebook posting. “Thanks to your incredible kindness, we are thrilled to announce that together we raised over $274,000!
“Every dollar raised goes directly toward fueling our mission, and we truly could not do this work without your generosity, your heart, and your unwavering belief in what we do.
“To everyone who attended, bid, donated, or cheered us on from afar: Thank you. Thank you for showing up, for caring so deeply, and for making a real, tangible difference in our community.”
If you didn’t make it to the event, it’s not too late. Donations are being accepted the remainder of the week.
