Howard Stern is clearing the air about what he really said about Kim Kardashian’s 2016 Paris robbery.
On an episode of The Kardashians, which debuted on Thurdsay, Dec. 4, the cameras followed Kim, 45, on a trip to Paris, where she testified in the trial for her theft case, in which she was tied up, held at gunpoint and robbed of over $10 million of jewels.
During the episode, the reality star recalled all the people who questioned the validity of her account and didn’t believe her. Kim teared up as she remembered comments Stern, 71, supposedly made about the incident.
“Howard Stern was famously mocking it all the time and saying that I’m sick and it’s such a joke and I made it all up,” she said. “I remember he was so defiant about it. And I was like, ‘How can you be so certain? Like, people will trust you.’ That always stuck with me.”

Stern denied her claims, showing footage of his remarks from a 2016 episode of The Stern Show that Kim was referring to. “We went back and looked up what I said, and nothing could be further from the truth,” he said on Tuesday, Dec. 9.
In the 2016 clip, Stern is seen speaking to co-host Robin Quivers about the incident. “If the woman was robbed at gunpoint, by a bunch of dudes, and they threw her in a bathtub and tied her up or whatever they did, I mean that is frightening,” he said.
He then added that “if it is a farce” then Kim “should go to jail for that.” To which Quivers responded, “I don’t think it is.” Howard agreed with her, adding, “I don’t either.”
“I would characterize this discussion as a very fair assessment. That some people are saying, it’s fake, which was true. And we said, ‘We don’t think it’s fake,’ ” Stern added on Tuesday, per a clip of the program shared on Instagram. “Let me say something. I have said so many awful things in my career. You don’t need to make up stuff. You can certainly find every awful thing I’ve said now, it’s no secret.”

On The Kardashians, Kim also addressed ex-husband Kanye West’s claims that she faked the heist. Recalling the moment West, 48, said she “faked your robbery for a TV show,” Kim got emotional and responded, “That was a knife to my heart.”
“Just to think that someone wouldn’t believe you — that’s so close to you, that should know you, that should know how much that affected your life — it just really bothered me. You don’t know who I am,” continued Kim, who was still married to the rapper at the time.
In her confessional, Kim explained that testifying brought her some relief. “To finally be able to go to trial and face these people and hear their accounts and apologies, I’m like, see, guys. It was real,” she said. The All’s Fair star added, “I’m happy it’s over.”
New episodes of The Kardashians premiere Thursdays at 12 a.m. ET on Hulu.
