Dr. Michelle Masters has been appointed Principal of Mundy Mill Arts Academy, according to an announcement from the Gainesville City School System (GCSS). Dr. Masters succeeds Dr. Crystal Brown, who was recently named Assistant Superintendent of Business & Operations for the district.

Masters brings over two decades of service in education to her new role, most recently serving as the Assistant Principal at Gainesville Exploration Academy since 2019.

“Dr. Masters is an accomplished educator and leader with a proven track record of driving instruction,” said Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Williams. “Her expertise in data-driven decision-
making and her commitment to fostering a collaborative environment make her the ideal leader to continue the traditions at Mundy Mill Arts Academy.”

She will officially begin in the new position July 1.
