BUFORD, Ga. — Lanier Christian captured the title at the Southern States Christian Classic Tournament on Saturday.
The Lady Lightning knocked off Victory Baptist 53-35 in the championship game at Old Suwanee Christian School.
Adelyn Gough had a huge game to pace LCA (6-2). The junior had 13 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals, and 5 blocks.
Freshman Julianne Roberts added 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Freshman Kimsey Caldwell had 9 points and 4 rebounds and junior Elliana Clark had 7 points and 10 rebounds for LCA.
Caldwell was named the Tournament MVP and Clark was named to the All-Tournament team.

The Lady Indians improved to 6-1 on the season with a win Saturday afternoon.
Lumpkin County used a 22-13 third quarter to open up a double-digit lead and then held off a Tallulah Falls run in the fourth quarter.
Maddie Lee paced Lumpkin County with 17 points. E.K Reese, Alayna Lindley, AK Davis, and Reagan Richardson all had 7 points each for the Lady Indians.
