The Georgia High School Association voted to lift the suspension of four Gainesville defensive football players during the appeal hearing on Tuesday.
However, 35 players remain suspended for the quarterfinal game at Langston-Hughes on Friday.
The GHSA lifted the suspension of defensive players Xavier Griffin, Jamarion Matthews, Jamarus Sims and Roger Holder. That motion passed 9-1.
Before that vote, the BOT discussed lifting the suspension of the 1o defensive players who were already on the field. However, that was denied 6-4.
