Georgia schools change schedule due to inclement weather

Multiple Georgia school districts have adjusted their schedules due to inclement weather on Monday. 

Meriwether County School System said all schools will transition to remote learning due to the threat of the storm.

Pickens County and Coweta County schools will operate on a two-hour delay, school officials said.

Additionally, Henry and Newton County schools will have a two-hour delay.

Clayton County schools will have an e-learning day for students and a two-hour delay for staff.

It comes as a strong thunderstorm front is set to pass through North Georgia early Monday.

The line is expected to sweep through the area from 1 a.m. to 8 a.m. Some parts of Georgia are under a Level 3 threat risk, while others are under a Level 2.
