Elsewhere Dawgs247’s Jordan Hill has a rundown of national football writers’ picks for the game. Spoiler alert: a solid majority are picking the Red and Black, which on the one hand always makes me a little nervous in close games, but on the other makes me think that the issues I’ve seen with the Ole Miss defense and the progress I’ve seen with the Bulldog unit may be visible to others. We’ll know in a few hours I suppose.
Over at SB Nation’s excellent Ole Miss site Red Cup Rebellion Gray Hardison has a fantastic rundown of what Ole Miss fans know and don’t know headed into this afternoon. As Gray points out, Ole Miss is going to hand the ball to Kewan Lacy. It’s going to be a gut check for the UGA defense to stop he and Trinidad Chambless while still respecting the Rebel passing game. I tend to think the team that holds its opponent under 28 probably wins this matchup.
