A Gainesville man remains in the Hall County jail after he allegedly left the scene of a single vehicle crash early Monday morning.
The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the crash scene on Ga. 369/Browns Bridge Road near Fincher Drive at 12:45 a.m. When they arrived, they discovered a vehicle in a ditch with no driver at the scene.
Deputies contacted the registered owner of the vehicle who indicated Austin Clarence Mosely,23, had been driving the vehicle at the time.
An initial investigation determined that Mosely was picked up from the accident location by a friend. Deputies charged Mosely with the following misdemeanors:
- Failure to stop at an accident with damage
- Leaving the scene of an accident
- Driving too fast for conditions
- Failure to maintain lane
Mosely turned himself in at the Hall County Jail on Tuesday afternoon. He is being held on $7,260 bond, according to HCSO officials.
