The BLITZ Football Players of the Week are Jefferson teammates Mack Gaddis and Taylor McCall.
MACK GADDIS – JEFFERSON
Mack Gaddis couldn’t have picked a better time to have a career game. The senior safety from the opening series got an offensive player behind the line TWICE. It was an epic performance, as Gaddis collected 10 tackles (four for loss), adding a sack and a pass deflection. This is his first BLITZ POW award.
TAYLOR MCCALL – JEFFERSON
Kickers arguably get less love than linemen tend to get. Taylor McCall is as good as they come though. The senior kicker and punter did everything well in the semifinals win. He was money on his 39-yard field goal attempt, was good on both PATs, and excelled in the punting duties. Even handling one snap off the ground, he had six punts for 272 yards (45.3 AVG), with four going inside the 20. Of his four kickoffs, three went for touchbacks. This is his first POW award.
