The NFL heads into Week 8 with October just about wrapped up. Next week’s Ravens-Dolphins TNF game will be on October 30, but otherwise October will be a wrap for the rest of the league. We’ve seen some surprises atop divisions with the Patriots, Colts, and Broncos all surging into first place in the AFC. Meanwhile, the NFC South has three teams at or above .500, but with all four holding negative point differentials.
We saw some upsets in Week 7, but the Broncos and Packers both mounted comebacks to avoid huge upsets. This week, the biggest matchups are inter-conference. The best matchup of the weekend will see the 4-2 Steelers hosting the 4-1-1 Packers on Sunday Night Football. The 5-2 Broncos host a dangerous 3-3-1 Cowboys squad in the CBS afternoon slot. The week wraps with a Commanders-Chiefs game on Monday that has lost some luster with word that Jayden Daniels is expected to miss the game.
Last week, my low confidence picks are what did me in. I was 2-1 on high confidence picks, 6-1 on medium, and 2-3 on low. I missed all three of my upset picks, but that remains a difficult task. This week, the Lions, Raiders, Rams, Cardinals, Seahawks, and Jaguars are all on bye.
On to my Week 8 picks!

Medium confidence
