WINDER, Ga. – Jackson County and Daylan Maxwell showed off the offense Friday night as the Panthers blew past Winder-Barrow, 57-13.
Maxwell had the first two touchdowns of the night, including a 60-yard dash to put the visitors up, 13-0. RJ Knapp then got to show off the arm as he found Silas McDaniel for a 27-yard passing score and Landon Jones on a 2-yard pass to go up, 27-0, early in the second period.
The Bulldoggs put together a drive to cut into the lead midway through the second, but just over a minute later, Jayson Lee got his first touchdown of the night to push the score to 34-7 at halftime. Lee scored again with 7:48 to go in the third on a 17-yard scamper before Maxwell got his third touchdown of the game from seven yards out.
Slade Swierczek got a safety for the Panthers late in the third before Mason Allen returned the ensuing free kick for a touchdown to get to the final score.
Jackson County will take on Loganville next week at home.
