BUFORD, Ga. – Buford did what they needed to do Friday night to get to another 8-6A region title game as the Wolves took down Mountain View, 55-7.
Buford scored in all three phases in the first six minutes. Dylan McCoy scored the first touchdown on the ground before Will Wyatt blocked a punt and returned it 31 yards for a touchdown. Less than a minute later, Jameer Cantrell got a pick-six to take a 20-0 lead.
Ty Green, Dayton Raiola and Torre Costin each then put rushing touchdowns on the scoreboard before Raiola found Ian Chafin with 45 seconds left in the first half to take a 48-7 lead into intermission. Silas Nickles scored the final touchdown of the night on an 11-yard rushing score.
Buford will host Mill Creek next week for the region crown.
