FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. — A Hall County home was destroyed in a fire Monday night that reignited the next morning, drawing a second emergency response from firefighters.
According to Hall County Fire Rescue, crews were dispatched around 7:30 p.m. on November 10 to the 4600 block of Guth Road after reports of a residential fire. When the first units arrived, they found flames shooting from the attic and roofline.
Firefighters made an interior attack with water from their engines, but the home’s remote location meant there were no nearby hydrants. Tankers shuttled water to the scene, and a tender truck was used to maintain the supply.
Firefighters eventually brought the blaze under control, though the house was declared a total loss. Two adults were displaced, and no injuries were reported.
Around 8 a.m. Tuesday, November 11, fire crews were called back to the same address after the structure reignited. By the time firefighters arrived, the structure’s remains were fully engulfed. Crews quickly extinguished the flames and kept them from spreading to nearby woods and properties.
Officials said wind speeds of up to 20 mph may have contributed to the rekindling. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office.
