Flag football: Buford beats Gainesville, Dacula

DACULA, Ga. — The Buford girls flag football team swept a pair of games on Monday at Dacula High School.
The Lady Wolves beat Gainesville 24-18 in the first game, paced by touchdown passes from Mia Bouton to Sarah Duran, Braeleigh Wansley, Payton Apolenis, and Reagan Dollar.
McKenna Serna had a key interception for the Lady Wolves. Keiko Teague and Benny Okeleke both had multiple tackles for loss for Buford.
Buford then shut out the host Lady Falcons, 28-0, in the final game of the night.
Bouton had a rushing touchdown and two TD passes to Braeleigh Wansley, and one to Braylen Dixon-Daniels.
Buford improved to 8-4 on the season and 1-0 in Region 8 5A play.  The Lady Wolves will play again on Wednesday night against Lanier and GAC at Buford High School.
