Drake London injury: What status means for Week 11 vs. Panthers

The 3-6 Atlanta Falcons host the 5-5 Carolina Panthers as 3.5-point favorites in the early slate this Sunday. A win keeps them in the NFC South divisional race, while a loss makes it extremely tough for them to scrap their way ahead of the Buccaneers this season. There is plenty of talent in the Falcons offense, with Bijan Robinson and Drake London leading the way, but quarterback Michael Penix Jr. has not made a significant step forward in his second season.

This week their top receiver, London, is questionable. If he were to miss, it would be a huge downgrade to their offensive potential.

Drake London injury updates

Game day update: London is expected to play on Sunday, per Ian Rapoport.

London didn’t practice on Wednesday due to an illness, but was able to get in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. But, the team added a back injury designation on top of the illness, which makes things a little more complicated.

Fantasy football analysis

London has been great this season, especially over his last five games. He is a Top 5 fantasy receiver with the upside to be No. 1 for the rest of the season. If he were to miss this week, TE Kyle Pitts would likely get the biggest fantasy bump. Darnell Mooney should be the player we’d want to start in London’s absence, but it is impossible to feel good about starting him, as he has yet to hit double-digit fantasy points on the season.
